Biography
After working for for 5 years in a pharmaceutical company, I realised that I needed a change of direction. I enjoyed the lab work, but the career advancements available were more directed toward a desk job, which I couldn't really see myself into.
I’ve always had a passion for making things, but my first real experience began some years ago, when I decided with my wife to make a liquor cabinet out of a broken double bass. I discovered the Edinburgh Tool Library workshop and I started going there after work up to closing time to develop our idea. I found out that I really enjoyed woodworking so I also attended a woodturning course, which I found very satisfying.
Unfortunately with the pandemic the workshop had to close, but my interest in woodworking was still alive so I learned Sketchup to design some little projects for my other hobbies and I also used it to visualise the layout of my house when buying furniture.
During the lockdown I decided to follow my passion in making things and I signed up for the professional woodworking course at the Chippendale International School of Furniture.
I love making beautiful and functional furniture and accessories to satisfy my customer requirements.
