Biography
Simon Harlow graduated in Environmental Art from GSA in 1998 and has been working as a self employed designer and maker ever since.
Using a broad material palette he works with Artists, Architects, Designers, domestic and commercial clients to produce his own designs, and theirs.
He works locally, nationally and internationally, choosing to be based in Govanhill, Glasgow, where he produces sculpture and furniture and makes the recently launched decorative solid surface material called Mirrl, based on his time in Japan.
He holds awards for design, sustainability in design and was noteably employed by the Scottish Government via Creative Scotland and Cove Park to be lead 3D designer and head of technical for Turner Prize winning Artist Charlotte Prodger's show SaF05 at the Venice Biennale, 2019.
Simon is known for producing very high quality work and consistently working to budget and timescale.
He is flexible, approchable and regards good design a powerful element in the immediate and long term health of our local and wider environment.
