Biography

Ripplewood is owned and run by cabinet maker Ronnie Payne. After several careers including as an aircraft engineer with the Royal Air Force. Ronnie attended the World renowned ‘Chippendale International School of Furniture’ In Gifford near Haddington, where he trained as a cabinet maker. Since the summer of 2016 Ronnie has been designing and manufacturing bespoke pieces of furniture to customers individual specifications.

“My experience is that customers are looking for something special to be created, or some piece that they simply cannot find on the high street, I work with them to achieve a piece of furniture that fits their design requirements and one that will last a lifetime.

Based in the city of Perth, Ronnie uses locally sourced Scottish timber and is certificated to use the ‘Scottish working woods’ label.
