I strive to create designs which are elegant yet unassuming. As the furniture I produce will last for generations, I believe that the designs should be understated as to age gracefully.
Biography
I aim to create furniture with timeless appeal, design to me is as much about practicality as aesthetic ideals. My handcrafted furniture is design led, and I allow the materials with which I work to speak for themselves.
Growing up on the coast of Northern Ireland, I found my way into a creative career very early. I have always loved production processes and construction techniques and throughout my degree at art college I discovered my love of furniture specifically.
I am passionate about timber, and use traditional techniques alongside modern production processes to create beautiful, functional pieces which can become heirlooms of the future.
I undertake private commissions, working closely with my clients to fulfil their brief and create bespoke handmade pieces. I encourage my clients to visit the workshop during production or otherwise update them with photographs.
Through my experience of bespoke commission work I have designed a collection of furniture with functionality, comfort and selection of finest materials at its core. Each piece has been meticulously developed and refined, and is handmade to order. Flexibility in material choice and detailing allows for individuality in every order.
