Biography
As an antidote to a career in local government, I wanted to build and sell furniture.
I studied at City of Glasgow College and achieved a Higher National Diploma in Furniture Craftsmanship and Design, following which I set up Lintie Furniture.
For me, designing and building furniture is about celebrating native Scottish woods and crafting unique items that are both pleasing and practical and have a life through the generations.
As my ‘stock’ furniture is built to order it can be customised, allowing some changes in dimensions and changes to the timber used.
Whilst I make furniture to my own designs I am also happy to build bespoke custom items. Bespoke custom items are designed in conjunction with the client to meet their needs and specifications, giving a truly unique item to which the client can feel connected.
