From his home-based workshop in the Borders, Adrian McCurdy produces furniture using quality local timber and craft techniques both long established and contemporary. A lot of time has been spent learning the art of cleaving large oak-butts towards furniture shapes that utilise the curves and shapely character of the process. Adrian has also worked in directions combining carving and colour to wood, adding the decorative to long lasting designs upon seating, tables, chests and boxes.
