John P Johnston left BCUC Uni. (High Wycombe, the once hub of furniture making in the UK), in the summer of 2002 armed with an honours degree in furniture design and craftsmanship. His business was set up the same year under the umbrella of a collective organisation in the Scottish Borders. Now based in his home county of East Lothian, for the past 7 years: John works mainly to commission on a wide variety of project's: from weft winding machines, high chairs, dining tables and chairs, staircases, cabinets, kitchens and chopping boards. John is currently the Chairman of the SFMA.
