Both elm and cedar of lebanon suit making rustic furniture. Designs have to reflect the natural forms offered by the wood, as you can see ...
Image: Coffee Table
Utilising some thick boards of local cedar of Lebanon, this coffee table makes the most of the natural (waney)edges of the tree trunk. A double rail connects the underframe end supports. These also keep the natural edges. The customer followed up this commission with small side tables to match. A good way for customers to commission rustic pieces is to visit and see the range of wood avaiable. Joint selection of the boards to use is then possible.
